experience the Experience :)

The purpose of our lives is to be happy.I always feel that I am one lucky child of god who always got the best of things. It doesn't mean that i haven't experienced any oods in life and my journey was smooth till date.I accepted what ever came in with a smile on my face and i am happy at the end of it.It made a lot of positive influence on me.

I always believe that god has better plans for me,just staying calm and cool is the only thing that i should do !!

Its up to you to make or break your day.It is what you choose makes a difference in yours and others lives as well:)

Experience is a beautiful thing where it teaches lessons so be ready to learn from them in order to identity a mistake when you make it again.

So experience the Experience :)

Keep smiling and spread smiles along your way. :)

Lesson from the Russians !!

As i always do while i was reading a book today i saw an interesting peace for us to learn. This advice is very much as how i think but totally in a contrast way that happened in Russia.I always wanted weddings to be simple but many say that it is a great event in everyone's life so wanted to be grand. No contradictions anyways everyone will have their own opinion.

But to be honest i liked this peace because it goes in the same lines as i think.

The amount of money spent sometimes constitutes the entire life's savings of a person. At times people take such huge lones for this celebration that they end up repaying them throughout their life.

People like us are worried about the finest jewelery and saris.

Russia in contradiction ,wedding takes place normally on Saturdays and Sundays.Irrespective of season after signing the register married couple must visit the important national monuments near by.Every boy in the country has to serve in the military for couple of years at least.Regardless of his position he must wear service uniform for the wedding :)

This is mark of gratitude. The newly married couple has to remember they are living in a peaceful, independent Russia because of their ancestor's sacrifices.

But We are busy shopping for saris, buying jewelery and preparing elaborate menus :)
I wished we could learn a lesson from the Russians.

I don't really suggest to do like what Russians do but at least instead of pouring money for such kind of events these can be spent for lighting someones lives which remains even more memorable in your life.Just my thought !! Not asking everyone to do :)

It is always the hater who gets hurt more :)

I never got a thought to write about this topic before but today here it is i have learnt something from it.This to to people who doesn't knew about this before :)

Every negative emotion secretes acid in your body, and acid destroys the vessel, which contains it.

Negative emotions like anger, frustration and disappointment are visiting emotions. The consolation being, they rise in you when an event happens and then they die down once you are distracted into the other events.

Hatred is a progressive negative emotion. It gains depth with the passage of time. The more you process your hurt the more you deepen your hatred.

Hatred takes you away from the real U.You cease to feel, think and act as you.The 'hated' now becomes the hero of your mind and heart, literally remote controlling how you feel, think and act. :)

Forgiveness is not liberating the other from u,but liberating yourself from other.

Nothing and nobody deserves a disturbing presence within you.

Let go the disturbance and let in peace" .

Everyman will face the consequences of his own doing. You don't make yourself wrong to prove that the other is wrong.

Give up your need to prove that the other is wrong. It still changes nothing about your life.

Something happened to teach you something :)

Learn the lessons and just move on...

Keep Smiling

What we do in our leisure hours determines what we are :)

"What we do during our working hours determines what we have;
What we do in our leisure hours determines what we are ."

Life is not all about what you have,it is all about how you make it for your dreams to come True.

Everyone has a feel good factor, think before you do it.Its your choice and not a chance. So choose how you want to be.Be in the circle of positive influences that makes your life and day simpler, easier and worthwhile :)

Your thoughts makes you or breaks you at the end of the day.
Everyday is fresh waiting for you,you can learn something out of it.

Instead thinking i am supposed to be,be what you want to be irrespective of what others feel about it!!But be careful in what ever you do such that it will not harm others.
After all this is a world of people with different opinions, you have the right to go ahead with yours :)

I believe when i do good,I feelgood!!
When i do bad,i feel bad!!

This is what i am,i live my life :)

Keep Smiling,
Jo

Adopt a child and give them a new Life :)

Once upon a time there was an idea that struck my mind.I thought how it will be if i adopt a child?Isn't it nice and a good feeling when you are giving a life to a child's dream.

Initially I don't know how to proceed,i don't know much about the acts, no idea how to and where to start about it.No idea of my initial step. But now as when i started reading about Hindu Adoptions And Maintenance Act, 1956 aka HAMA,i felt that the procedure was and is a hurdle for the people to adopt one.

So many restrictions and so many rules to follow. So many documents to submit.Taking the child to court every year till five years.Yes at the end of it security of the child is important but with the current act i feel people coming forward will be very few crossing all these.

These are quite a few to know more about it you can go through the act.

But at the end of the day i request people to think about Adopting a child and giving them a new life they dream off. That's the best thing you can do in your life time :)

Sun Microsystems many take aways especially for a life time!!

Life at Sun Microsystems !!

A mentor, who wont be lucky if you get a mentor to guide you for what you will be when you start of with nothing.I am the most lucky gal to have one.My friends, people from varied cultures and cities still with a common religion which is friendship.I got friends for a life time irrespective of ages.Biswa as i call him is elder to me by 15 years,he always made me think before i utter or pen down. Thanks for guiding me :)

I organized a fashion show which became a big success and which brought me from a back stage enthusiast to front stage.I was shocked people shouting and when the MC announced My and Saurabh's name.My manager was in a shock :) i was even more shocked,i realized it after a minute that people are calling us.I thoroughly enjoyed my show and the response sitting in the audience :)I can never forget that day,one of my dream come true. All the creativity in me moulded and shaped as a single show that too accepted by everyone.Awesome memories.

A wonderful team i had ,always helpful in everyway both personal and professional as i used to stay alone in Bangalore.

A wonderful friend Naveen who always supported me and took care of me so well more than his sister.

While i was at Sun i am a part of my Band and gave performances. We used to organize all the shows and had an amazing group of friends and its fun remembering all those again.Unforgettable and always remembered.

Staying away from home taught me how life will be.Both good, bad and better :)

Tag line used to suit what we are doing Fun while working @ Sun.The most memorable thing and a big achievement in my life time is being at Sun and being an employee of Sun Microsystems :)

Say NO to Paper and Plastic Bags!!

When i read an article about Paper or plastic?

I immediately said Paper bag but i am surprised and awestruck when i got to know these facts .
It states Neither of them are roughly equal in pros and cons. While convenient addictions, they both gobble up natural resources and cause significant pollution. It takes more than four times as much energy to manufacture a paper bag as it does to manufacture a plastic bag.

And the worst part is it takes 91% less energy to recycle a pound of plastic than it
takes to recycle a pound of paper. But recycling rates of either type of disposable bag are extremely low, with only 10 to 15% of paper bags and 1 to 3% of plastic bags being recycled, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Paper sacks generate 70% more air and 50 times more water pollutants than plastic bags.It takes 11 times as much energy to recycle a pound of paper as to recycle a pound of plastic. And plastic bags require 40 percent to 70 percent less energy to recycle than paper bags.

Its better using a Cloth Bag instead of having debates whether to use a Plastic or a paper bag :)

To limit the debate between paper and plastic is a false choice. In 2008, China, the largest plastic-bag consumer, started banning stores from offering plastic bags for free. The goal has been to encourage shoppers to return to the tradition of using their own cloth bags for shopping.

You know i read that,To produce each week's Sunday newspapers, 500,000 trees must be cut down.
Recycling a single run of the Sunday New York Times would save 75,000 trees.
If all our newspaper was recycled, we could save about 250,000,000 trees each year!

And when it comes to plastic Americans use 2,500,000 plastic bottles every hour! Most of them are thrown away!
Plastic bags and other plastic garbage thrown into the ocean kill as many as 1,000,000 sea creatures every year!

Use Cloth bags and save Environment which in turn saves Us. :)

True friend is a Blessing :)

I want to wish you all a very happy Friendship Day.Thanks for being a part of my life. You all touched my life in some or the other way and i learnt something from you all:)

Friend as a word has no meaning it is a wonderful feeling and a fabulous bond between people. As long as u have a true friend beside, you are one of the luckiest person on earth.

Only one thing in the world which expects nothing except your smile on your face is your friendship. It expects nothing in return.

One of the finest line that i believe is to “To Have a Friend, Be One”.

Don't judge them.Accept them as they are and because no one is perfect and don't expect them to change for yourself. If they are going in a wrong track its your responsibility to take them in right direction.

There is no gender limit for friendship.Every one is unique. If you do not have egos you will never have issues :)

Small misunderstandings sometimes causes a break off .see to it that the other side also understand and give a chance to your friend because don't forget that they are the one who stood beside you when you want them the most.

There is no language or religion to friendship, its itself is a language that speaks about a friend.

"True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils.

Strive to have friends, for life without friends is like life on a desert island….to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune; to keep them is a blessing."

Keep Smiling :)

This moment is called the Present :)

I am Jo :) Surprised introducing myself again ya i know ..but the situation :) Good to be back !! Every time i want to write a post i make a delay, the delay used to be so that i end up forgetting what i want to communicate.Previously i used to like writing them now i delay writing them since i am not getting time...then i questioned myself am i so busy and if so what am i doing ? I have no answer.

I then started thinking what i am getting and what am i loosing,i stopped enjoying doing things what i like the most.It applies to everything work,Personal, professional everything that i can think of.

Am i the one i used to be?
Without a pause my answer is no!!
I stopped writing,i stopped working for the under privileged,i stopped doing what i want to do.

Then i thought let me live the life i wanted to be.

The past is history ,the future is a mystery and this moment is a gift. That is why this moment is called the "Present".

If you embrace the present and become one with it,and merge with it,you will experience a fire,a glow,a sparkle of ecstasy throbbing in every living sentient being.

In this joyful, simple freedom, you will know without any doubt in your heart that what you want is available to you when ever you want it,because your want will be from the level of happiness, not from the level of anxiety. You do not need to justify anyone except yourself.

Take responsibility and Dont blame anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself.Remember all problems contain an hidden opportunity.

Problem is never a problem ,its just the situation that creates a problem and you can deal with it :)

In the same post i want to share an interesting conversation with my friend. We used to work at sun, he is very senior to me at age but a very good supporter and a friend of mine.He always follows all my status messages and we have discussions onn that yesterday he has an amazing analysis.

This is my version :

Give thousand chances to your enemy to become your friend, But don ' t give a single chance to your friend to become your enemy and Dont worry about the people in your past, There's a Reason .......They Didn't Make It To Your Future :)

He said:

should then India give thousand chances to Pakistan? it gave just 100 till now

If a friend becomes an enemy, he was never a "true" friend from the start only, right? In that case, he was putting a wrong garb of friendship and it is better if he officially becomes an "enemy" as he can be easily identified now. a True friend can never ever turn to an enemy.

How true it is :)

Have a fun filled weekend!!

The Feeling of Belonging......

We always wanted to do something to the children of the Orphanage Dwarakamayi, that Sanhita Maitri is associated with, which would make them that we belong to them. We wanted to show them that we are not just any other donor just giving money. This Jan 31st was one of our friend's birthday, so we got an idea which would make the children happy. We celebrated his birthday there.

It was indeed a very good experience for our friend as he was wished by so many little and cute kids with their heartful greetings :) It was a good and memorable experience for him and the children too.

This is how we rang the New Year bells....

Ah! It is that time of the year again. The magic time when most of us have been close to exhaustion from all the situations we have been through during the old year and we are ready to begin afresh. Blessed is he who invented the concept of the New Year for he has given us hope just when we thought we couldn’t take it any longer.

Even for those whose old year was a good one, the idea of a clean slate is short of a miracle.

So here we are at the end of December. The first of January approaching fast and furious and we begin to think about all the great things that we would like to be, do, or have for the next 12

So right the start of the year, and the one we always look forward for is for the Celebrations too.Definition of it varies from person to person but the output is still the same which is joy and happiness J

On the New year day Jan 1st i vistied Krushi Homes as usual greeted kids and spent some time with them.
And on second day i celebrated with my friends of Sanhita Maitri:)

We Sanhita Maitri celebrated and welcomed our new Year with the kids of “Dwarakamayee Seva Samithi “.Smiles on the faces of these kids is a gift back to us for the long year and also for a start of a great year.

We distributed new clothes to this kids while we had celebrations with Cake,Sweets,Chocolates and what not.Overwhelmed with everything.

Hope this year brings joy and Happiness to everyone.

My experience at Fun and Learn with Peers an informative one!!

I participated in fun and learn with peers organized by our education department at CA.First of all i need to thank them for coming up with a wonderful theme :)

Initially i thought it was like a tech talk as usual but the total impression and what we did was entirely different when i was at the field.

I had few take aways which i want to share with all of you.The trainer demonstrated and made us realize using a simple game that we played.

The game is.We are a group of 15 people.Everyone should pass the ball to other except to the person standing towards his/her left or right.Sounded interesting.
Now once you confirm how the ball passes he freezes the loop.So now the ball should pass through the same people and reach the first person who started it.

We started of the game.It took 19 seconds for the first attempt. He told us the record time that we need to break is 1 sec and some one did it.I internally thought he was just kidding and it is impossible.

Then what we did is we came closer and everyone raised our hand once the ball is received. did a dry run before calling him, made sure it was reducing time and finally gave it a try asking him to record the time. Now the time it took for us is 9 sec.Amazing nearly 50% of the time reduction.

Now another strategy ,other attempt,we gave numbers as how the ball got passed arranged our self alternatively and placed the ball on a table and touched the ball shouting our numbers as quick as possible, now the time reduced to 5.56 sec.

Next attempt we formed a circle sequentially(which i suggested),then tried it again we came to 5.49 sec.

Next attempt ,same strategy as above but we hook a pen to the ball(since first person should not touch the ball when it passes to others)and now just a single finger of all of ours on the table formed as a circle sequentially. The first person just catches the tip of the pen and rolled through all our fingers.
Guess whats the time it took,we are almost near its 1.03 sec.

We made him to do it a couple of times so that he will come up to the speed while rolling the ball on our fingers. Now we called the trainer to check the time.

WOW...we did it ,its exactly 1 sec.

I thought what i thought impossible is made possible by all of us in fraction of minutes.

Then he started explaining that this is how we need to go while in a Team:

Storm ,Norm and perform
Storm is for brainstorming, think ideas find out ways to implement it.
Norms is to Follow the procedures and rules that you brain stormed
so if these both are in right mixture Performance comes with it.

And that is what we exactly did and saw the results and learnt practically with a simple game.

My Diwali Celebrations at Krushi Homes

Its been always my pleasure to celebrate my Diwali with the kids at Krushi Homes an orphanage for run away and semi orphan kids. They always await us and we always had a warm welcome from the kids.

But for them this year it was a surprise as we didn't inform about our visit and its like a sudden surprise seeing us.Wishes from their heart and their self less love always made me feel the most luckiest person on earth.I become a kid with those kids out there.:)This time both pankhudi and colors swathi's family were at Krushi so the kids are very excited in celebrating with us .All the smiling faces that i can never forget :)

I interacted with all the kids and played some games and had the tastiest lunch with the kids that anyone will ever get:)

All over i had an awesome Diwali :)

Live as if your were to die tomorrow ..

When i thought a bit about it,i immediately recollected the phrase that i always tell my friends when they question me what you want to be in Life.I always used to answer that i want to Live in such a way that the world should cry while i rejoice when i die.It sounded interesting when i read similar thoughts written down by an author in his book who shares with his child.I laughed at my self.

For a minute i asked my self who will cry when i die?How many lives did i touch while i walked on this planet?hmmm...the list of questions goes on...

I always write in my posts saying "Be the change you want to see"and once you do,your life will change. But myself doesn't have an answer while i question this to the world !!

For me if i make even one person smile by helping him/her i am quite satisfied with my purpose of living.

The things that are easy to do and appreciate are also the things that are easy not to do.I truly thank and feel happy for all the people who told that i am their inspiration from my activities i do and that's a positive act or change in their lives as well as in the underprivileged kids. There are small acts done with great Love.Without rich heart, wealth is an ugly beggar.

So what i learnt in my live is serve selflessly.and hurtful world unleashed in a single minute of anger led to many a broken friendship.Forgiveness is the greatest act of personal courage. For all of you out there if directly or otherwise forgive me for the same if i did hurt one.

Everyone who enters your life has a lesson to teach and a story to tell:)
Either good or bad depends on the way you take it and what you learn from it:)
I thank everyone who came across in my journey and touched my life in some or the other way:)

As some one said I realized we see the world not as it is but as we are :)

I have lived fully :)

As long as i live,it is my privilege to do for it what ever i can :)

This would me my last post if "Live as if your were to die tomorrow" .. :)

God Save us from these Sufferings!!

Recently i experienced something i would never dream of..i am travelling back from my office after a little bit of discussion with my colleagues and finally decided to go by a local train at 6.25pm .I started from the station and suddenly in a few minutes a 21 year old girl fell down and started behaving in a weird way ,she is unconscious and even couldn't recognize her sister for a while.Initially i started rubbing her legs and hands and consoling her sister not to panic.

Dindn't understand what to do.Some people out in the train asked to get down at next station but none of us know any hospitals near by and as the time passing by the condition is becoming serious ,suddenly 108 came to my mind and called them to immediately come to the next station.I along with her sister got down taking her.She was ok for few minutes but again started shouting and behaving weirdly.

Mean while the ambulance came to the other side of the platform.I took help of a guy in the station standing to carry her and asked him to come along.we crossed the track and he carried her into the ambulance and we started going to the nearest hospital.Doctors said not to worry because we took her at the right time.they put on oxygen and injections and did some first aid.I saw the suffering of a Life and understood what life s and many questions revolved my mind. Why are these bonding's.Which are really painful .I myself couldn't see her in that state. We reached the hospital and after a while her relatives came in by 10 pm.

I myself being sick came back home.Next day i waited for her call.I was upset not hearing any news assuming so many things.Assumptions always showed me hell :)The next day her sister gave a Thank u call saying they shifted her to four hospitals for diagnosis and to treat her.The whole reason is the blockage of blood in her brain :(

God save us from all these sufferings.and thanks for introducing 108.It saved a Life.

As some of you asked about her she is shifted from ICU after 2 days and she is doing okay now :)

This post is not at all for appreciation and I am not talking about what i did...this post is to make people understand that you never know what happens in Life...I saw passengers in the train were just thinking about self and didn't come forward to help her...I just want to let people think about it.You do good...and i bet god saves you too!!After all we are humans!!

How much you can understand :)

When i read this phrase for a second i thought how true it is...

A beautiful relationship does not depend upon how good we understand someone but on how well we avoid misunderstandings :)

This is the key for all of our happy lives too.More than understanding a persons tastes and thoughts,or what you dont like in him/her it is absolutely necessary to understand what one person really is and always take things in rite sense:)

Dont assume..start understanding..

So from now when you meet some one understand and dont "miss understanding" :)

and this is self explanatory which is true but not that easy :)

Missing someone gets easier every day. Because, even though it is one day further from the last time you saw each other, it is one day closer to the next time you will:)

Happy Fathers Day!!

For All Fathers here's wishing you a very Happy Fathers Day!!

The calm of a quiet sea,The generous soul of nature.
He is one of my very best friend who always has a listening ear
He is one of the masterpiece.

His unexpressable love and can be seen onlyin his eyes
He always knows what is on my mind even before i speak out
He's someone who listens, supports, and defends.

He is very patient and helpful when things go wrong
In all that i do,he plays a part.
Thank you, Dad...
for listening and caring, for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!

The anger, coming fast and building slow,
Of being helpless to control someone.
You always want me to grow up right,
I'm sorry for the anger in the air;
Though we fight, my love is always there.

You mean so many things and everything to me.
You have an understanding heart,
A source of strength and support
With encouragement and forgiveness

I am successful today, but the one reason behind it is the gift i have:Dad and Mom.

For every story you have something to take away :)

Its an interesting and a stressful week for me...when we are loaded with lots of work
we never get time do anything other than to complete our targets.

At this point of time some small stories or funny one liners makes me relaxed.
Here i am sharing one of those i like :)

For every story you have something to take away.If you are on same lines as me then check this out:)

Once, a dog lost his way deep into the jungle.
He almost fainted to see a lion coming straight to him at a very near distant.
"I will be dead today" , thought he.There were some bones lying over there.
He turned his back towards lion and started pretending as if he is eating those
bones. When lion was very close to him he cried out loudly "Wow, what a fun eating a lion, by chance if I can get another one,it will be a treat ".

Lion thought "What a dangerous dog!!!!! He kills lions and eats it. Let me
run away from here and save my life ".

Now, there was a Monkey hiding on the tree there watching the entire show.He thought "It's a good chance to tell the truth to the lion. Lion will become my friend and I will not have to run saving my life from him ".

He just ran away to inform the entire episode to Lion. The dog had seen him going and quickly understood the ploy. Both lion and monkey were coming back to the dog and the lion was furious. When lion was very close to him he again cried out loudly " It has been half an hour and yet that stupid monkey can't fetch another lion??!!!!"

Morale: "It is by presence of mind in untried emergencies that the native metal of man is tested."

We are not rewarded for having a brain,But for using it... How true is it :)

The 40th anniversary of RFC :)

YESTERDAY is an important date in the history of the Internet: the 40th anniversary of what is known as the Request for Comments. Outside the technical community, not many people know about the R.F.C.’s, but these humble documents shape the Internet’s inner workings and have played a significant role in its success.

When the R.F.C.’s were born, there wasn’t a World Wide Web. Even by the end of 1969, there was just a rudimentary network linking four computers at four research centers: the University of California, Los Angeles; the Stanford Research Institute; the University of California, Santa Barbara; and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The government financed the network and the hundred or fewer computer scientists who used it. It was such a small community that we all got to know one another.

Computers and Technology changed the way world is irrespective of whether it is a gud or a bad sign :)

Intelligence is not what you Think!!

When i was reading through ,i found something worth sharing about intelligence.First, know well that intellectuality is not intelligence.Intelligence is the growth of inner consciousness. It has nothing to do with knowledge.

A Catholic,a protestant and a Jew were talking to a friend who said he had just been given six months to live.

"what would you do,"the man asked the catholic,"if your doctor gave you six months to live?"

"Ah!"said the catholic."I would give all my belongings to the church, take communion every Sunday, and say my hail Marys regularly."

"And you?"he asked the protestant.

"I would sell everything and go on a worlds cruise and have a great time!"

"And you?"he said to Jew.

"Me?" i would see another doctor."

That is Intelligence.

Do intelligent things..A very happy new yr :)
